Joey you’ve murdered me again.
I’m definitely appreciating this new look. I think he should keep it!
As someone who suffers from depression, anxiety/panic attacks, and bipolar disorder, I can tell you how difficult everyday life is because of them. I don’t talk about it too often, because it can be difficult to discuss these things with people that have never experienced it. Some days I’m symptom-free and other days, I’m dealing with a triple whammy. It can be exhausting. When that TV commercial says that “depression hurts”, it really does; it takes a toll on the body and it really can physically hurt, in addition to what it does in the mind. Some people just don’t understand it and will automatically assume that you’re just sad or lazy, and might say things such as: “Cheer up!” or “Get up off your ass and do something about it!”. Trust me, that’s not something we’re going to want to hear, and it does not help. We’re not this way, necessarily, because of a particular incident in our lives and we didn’t just bring it upon ourselves. We don’t need ridicule or a “look back to see what caused it”. Just a bit of understanding and patience will be sufficient while we deal with it in the way that helps us most.
1.04 The Lie
I love Constance McCashin in her role as Laura Avery on Knots Landing. Definitely one of the best in the show.
December 27 1979: “Knots Landing” a spinoff of the hit show “Dallas” premieres on CBS Television.
Set in a fictitious coastal suburb of Los Angeles, the show centered on the lives of four married couples living in a cul-de-sac, Seaview Circle. Initially intended to be a Scenes from a Marriage-type drama series, storylines also included rape, murder, kidnapping, assassinations, drug smuggling, corporate intrigue and criminal investigations. By the time of its conclusion, Knots Landing had become one of the longest-running primetime dramas on U.S. television after Gunsmoke, Law & Order, and tied for third place with Dallas and Bonanza.
I love this photo of the original Knots Landing cast!

Words cannot express how much I love this show. I need more seasons to be released on DVD!
